The Troy Pig Out will welcome professional BBQ teams from across the United States for this two day competition which includes a People’s Choice St. Louis Rib competition on Saturday, and the main event on Sunday.

Barbeque vendors and live music are the main attractions for guests to the festival, filling Riverfront Park on both Saturday and Sunday, and a special fireworks show on Saturday night over the Hudson River.

The Troy Pig Out is officially sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Association and the office of the Governor as the New York State BBQ Championship, qualifying the winner for the National Championship

This is serious business – so look out for charging BBQ’ers! A team of 38 Kansas City Barbeque Society licensed judges will be ready to blindly determine the winner in each category, basing their scores on three ingredients: taste, appearance and texture. The Grand Champion is awarded ‘Victor’ – our life sized golden pig (and cash of course, but we think the pig is pretty cool)!

Today we are heading up to Marshfield for the New England Wild West Fest! This event is also supporting “the fight against cancer.” If you don’t have any plans this afternoon come out and enjoy the festivities, live bullriding, hog tying, gun show and kiddie rodeo plus more!
